STAC hosts various events throughout the academic year. These events cater to our school community and some -- most notably WolfHacks are also open to the wider Peel District School Board.

What is STEAMWorks?

STEAMWorks is an exclusive hackathon organized by STAC for Chinguacousy's 9th and 10th graders. It's an opportunity for students to delve into STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) through diverse avenues. The entire event aligns with the grade 9 and 10 curriculum, offering students an expanded platform to push their boundaries and take on challenges.

When is STEAMWorks?

STEAMWorks is going to held on November 17th, 2023. It will last from 2:30 p.m all the way to 9:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided and everyone will walk away with one of our many prizes.

What is Sci-Tech Open House?

We welcome Grade 8's for an opportunity to tour the school and explore the Sci-Tech program. Spend your evening toying with our robots, digital projects and learning more about what our school has to offer!

What is STEAMWorks?

The STEAMWorks Event at Chinguacousy Secondary School introduces students to various STEAM-based projects. This will allow them to explore concepts that connect their current curriculum to ideas that they will encounter in high school and in the real world. The students will participate in an evening of fun workshops and activities, with a chance to win some cool prizes!

What is WolfHacks?

Chinguacousy Secondary School is proud to be hosting its sixth annual hackathon, WolfHacks. A hackathon is a STEM-based event in which young innovators from across our community come together and innovate in a friendly competition. WolfHacks will bring together approximately 300+ Grade 7-12 students across schools from the Peel Region. Exciting opportunities to design, build, demonstrate, and develop innovative solutions to real-world issues will be offered in April 2024 at WolfHacks ‘24.
